The story of Ladybug Living begins on Cape Breton Island, in the small town of St Peter's, during the mid 90's, with my aunt, Jo Ann MacIntosh. Jo was a 24 hour caregiver for local veterans, often working for much less than minimum wage, dedicating her life to the service of others. It was Jo Ann who taught me to ensure dignity in care above all else, and the importance of caring for the entire person, not just the physical body. The name Ladybug was given to me by her when I was just an infant, and she called me that until her sudden passing in 2016. Ladybug Living and all of our works are dedicated to her memory.

Savannah has been providing care to seniors and adults with disabilities for nearly 20 years. She is a graduate of Eastern College and is currently enrolled in the social work program at the University of Waterloo. Ladybug Living is more than just a business to Savannah, it is her dream to bring accessible, meaningful, and active engagement to all seniors and adults with disabilities, be they at home or residing in a care facility. Savannah firmly believes in interpersonal connection, functional fitness, and wellness at any age or ability. In the example of her aunt Jo Ann, she believes in leading with kindness and empathy.
At Ladybug Living we believe that everyone is a work in progress, and we are no different! We ask that you please be patient with us as we learn and grow.
